“Speak out Teen Radio Show” (MUVUBUKA WEYOGERERE) is broadcasted every Sunday at 8.00pm-9.00pm. The aim of radio program is to reach young people with Sexual and Reproductive health related information in various districts. It is moderated by an ASRHR knowledgeable radio presenter who addresses a group of young people on a live radio show to which other young people can make phone calls and contribute. The aim of these sessions is to enable young people to interact on ASRHR issue in a face to face setting while at the same time broadcasting their exchange of views on an FM radio. It is a live phone in program where listeners contribute or ask questions by calling into the studio. A separate toll free hotline is provided during the talk show to respond to listeners concerns that are not related to the topics being discussed.
Topics discussed included: relationship, teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortion, STIs, HIV/AIDS, sexual networks, concurrent multiple partners, family planning and sexual abuse etc. To ensure quality, resource persons are hosted from NTIHC and other partner organizations to provide accurate information on the topic at hand.
